The Unique Experience: "MADE 4 YOUTH"

After a long break of face-to-face meetings, it was finally the time to take part in training course which we were looking forward to for a long time: MADE 4 YOUTH hosted by NGO “Pasaules kultūru telpa Tukumā”. 

The training course  focused on the improvement of the decision-making process in Youth; during this training the participants learned about new methods of decision making, project management, strategy, strategic thinking, leadership and entrepreneurship. The training hosted 24 participants from 8 different countries (Latvia, Portugal, Turkey, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia and Cyprus) in Tukums (LATVIA).

                              

Among the given training content through non-formal activities which took place in the first days of the project, the participants then were given the space to present their own ideas about decision making by simulation games, drama and non-formal presentations. The working groups were organized as taking into consideration the nationality, gender and age diversity among the partipants.

One of the things which made "MADE 4 YOUTH" a unique training was for no noubt the venue and the outdoor activities. The organizing team managed to take all participants for biking through the "Ķemeri National Park" which is located in west of the city of Jūrmala, Latvia. 

Thanks to this activity, participants had an extra chance to explore the nature of the region as well as getting to know local life and meeting local residents and culture. 

The training went on with non-formal activities dedicated to the main topic. The participants / Youth workers were given various tools and methods, by using multicultural dialogue, multidimensional theories, empiric data and non-formal education to then be applied to their youth and communities. 

The participants while getting to know Tukums city better, they were invited to visit an old coffee factory which is used as a cultural meeting point, hosting events and concerts. We were lucky to attend there a "Talent Evening" hosted by Radi Tukkumagi as some of the participants showed their own singing talents. 

The long story short, MADE 4 YOUTH was a spectacular chance for all of us to learn more about methodologies for decision making, non-formal education, getting to know Latvia and more importantly another chance for new friendships and partnerships for future cooperation.

A big thanks to “Pasaules kultūru telpa Tukumā”, trainers, local people of Tukums, guides who took us around the Latvian nature, people working at the venue and of course all participants that we met!

Forever Young! Training Course under Erasmus+ Programme.

 

We are Forever Young!

            As TREX-EVS youth organization, we had taken part in a training course  named “Forever Young” which combines the topics of dialogue of generations and life-long learning among the youth workers.

                             

       It took place in North-East of the European Union in Daugavpils, Latvia in mid January 2020 (incl. travel days). It brought together 32 participants from Austria, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey.
The project aimed to create a favorable atmosphere for bringing together young, as well as more mature youth workers for inspiring and learning among the generations for a more balanced - experienced, professional and modern – work with young people with fewer opportunities.
The methods were discussions, story-telling, case-studies, workshops, method exchanges, idea brainstorms and other non-formal education methods, including various inspiring study-visits.
 

                                

The outputs of the projects are:
·        7 new Non-formal Education tools were created and shared in on Salto tool-box;
·        6 new project ideas were created;
·        further partnerships were discussed and cooperation agreements made;

Forever Young! Trex-EVS Gençlerle Letonya'daydı!

Eski Avrupa Gönüllü Hizmeti Gönüllüleri Gençlik Derneği, daha yaygın bilinen ismimizle Trex-EVS olarak gençlik fırsatlarını yaygınlaştırmaya ve AB destekli projelerde yer almaya devam ediyoruz. Özellikle Erasmus+ programı kapsamında geliştirdiğimiz yeni ortaklıklarla gençlik değişimi, eğitim kursu ve ESC (Eski adıyla EVS) bünyesindeki hareketliliklere zaman zaman ortaklık geliştirmek için gençlerle birlikte katıldığımız da oluyor.

İsveç'te dans ile tabuları yıkmak!

Bildiğiniz üzere dernek olarak gençlerimizin sosyal alanda olabildiğince aktif rol almalarını teşvik ediyor ve zaman zaman yurtdışında gerçekleşen gençlik faaliyetlerine katılmalarına destek oluyoruz. Bu defa istikamet İsveç'ti. Dört gencimiz dans temalı bir faaliyette yer almak üzere İsveç'te gerçekleşen gençlik projesine katılmak üzere Ağustos 2016'da yola çıktılar ve birçok tecrübe ve dostlukla geri döndüler. Bizler de onlara deneyimlerini paylaşmalarını rica ettik. Şimdi bizlere ilettikleri yazılarını hiç değiştirmeden sizlerle paylaşıyoruz. Sizi de benzer projelerde görmek umuduyla, iyi okumalar...

Ukrayna'dan Haber Var!

FARKLI ÜLKELER, FARKLI İNSANLAR, FARKLI DİLLER TEK DİLEK ‘BARIŞ DOLU BİR DÜNYA’

Bir dilek balonu herhalde ilk defa bana bu kadar anlamlı gelmişti. Dilek balonunu uçurmak için Ukraynalı, Sırbistanlı iki arkadaşımla olağanüstü çaba gösterdik şiddetle esen rüzgara rağmen. Sahi bizim tek derdimiz balonu uçurmak mıydı? Yoksa balonu uçururken insanlık için fısıldadığımız umut dolu ,aydınlık , insanca ve en önemlisi barış dolu bir yaşam için dileklerimiz miydi balonu uçurmamızda ısrarcı olmamıza sebep? Her zaman hayatımda güzellikler yaşamama aracı olan  Trex Evs’in aracılığıyla Ukrayna’da katıldığım ‘Barış’ temalı eğitim herhalde hayatımın en güzel zamanı olan Evs’imden sonra en anlamlı zamandı. Hep faklı, çok uzak olduğunu düşündüğümüz aslında bir o kadar ne kadar yakın olduğumuzu gösteren bir çalışmaydı Ukrayna’da katıldığım proje.

AB üye ülkelerinin ve Türkiye’nin en önemli sorunlarından genç işsizliği üzerine çalışma yapmak ve çözümler aramak üzere 12 ülkeden sivil toplum kuruluşu temsilcilerini bir araya getiren eğitim kursu AMSED (Association Migration Solidarité et Échanges pour le Développement) derneği koordinatörlüğünde 1-11 Ekim 2014 tarihleri arasında Fransa’nın Strasbourg kentinde gerçekleşti.
